This is a view from Tata's table, the subtle forms in the wall in front produce his initial "T".
This shot shows the meeting space and where the 2 elevators make the movement of a handshake (up and down). Textures are metallic and technological resembling input from both partners.
Overall view of the above, below and hanging spaces for this experiment. Carlos's building (blue) resembles a mobile tower wheras Ratan's is made of metal beams running down sides.
Looking at the interior of Slim's spaces, heading towards his chair whilst on the trap door entrance. Each level is made to resemble a part of a hierarchy. Plenty of elevators in the middle and around.
This is a view of Tata's table as the elevator reaches it. The red colour and dark lighting help capture his more aggressive side.

Tip / Technique
When preparing a static mesh in Google Sketchup, work close to the origin so that when you import it into Unreal Editor, it is close to the red navigator. This makes it easier to rotate the static mesh and to find it if it is too small.

Ideas for Lift design
The Lift is to resemble a "Handshake" as my interpretation of Power for the experiment is that power increases when two combine. This also influenced my design as I have created the two spaces for Carlos Slim and Ratan Tata where both spaces are conjoined to the bridge one above one below and the Lift is the hanging element. The sketches below are initial drawings that helped me come to this idea.

Dining Table Research
The reason I chose to show this Dining table is because it is above other dining tables when looking at height. Whilst a literal translation of power I think it brings with it many possibilities and starting points for an interesting dining table design such as one that is higher than a persons height and therefore a hydraulic chair is needed to lift the person up. A lift within a lift basically.
This wrought iron / glass dining table may bring back old memories for both my clients Helu and Tata as they come from a generation where highly skilled labour and quality based products existed. The glass used on the table is more of a contemporary idea so the table is a mix of old and new. Also Tata is in the metal industry and most of the table consits of metal.
Elevator Research
I chose to show this elevator because it is innovatively designed to work like a vacuum. It also consist of a tubular/cylindrical shape that is different from just the usual rectangular prism.

This is a LED Elevator which produces many colours and tones of light whilst in use and motion. Once again my choice was influenced by innovation in the design of the elevator.

This is a 2D Graphic of a Space Elevator. Something that some rocket scientists think would work better than a rocket. It has similarities to EXP 3 as the Elevator moves between two points, base on earth and in outer space, and the elevator travels through mid-air.

View from inside the bridge looking at space 1. (Office of Carlos Slim Helu).
Overall view of modified bridge and parts of elevator. I made the bridge in Sketchup and brought it into Unreal so to make the bridge a little more realistic and literal. Plus I think the structure I have created produces nice shadows, which is important for my theme of dark spaces surrounding Helu.
Looking into office space 2. Ratan Tata's space. Working in Helu's shadow. The darkness of the bridge in this view is necessary because Helu is very rich, powerful and will do anything to keep his position as number one. Therefore I have used darkness as a gothic and gnostic belief represented as something or someone bad and evil. Tata's space on the other is flourished with light representing good. He is more a modest and more ethical businessman.

Ideas and Theme of my Elevator.
I chose the simple shape of a horizontal prism elevator because the meeting space should be a place of secrecy and safety, (enclosed by 4 walls), a place that is comfortable and satisfies the clients needs (specially made high chairs and dining table). It encompasses the use of all three planes as it gradually twists, turns and connects together to become one final piece.
